Ok, this might sound kinda wierd, but our office manager is leaving for maternity leave on Thursday. Some of us know she is not coming back, but the boss thinks she will be back.
So,, what should the cake say?
Good luck?
We'll miss you!
Happy baby?
we don't know how to phrase it....

Re: Question for moms about cake & maternity leave
Congratulations or Happy Baby is fine. I would not say anything about being missed or her not coming back.

Is it inappropriate to say congratulations before the baby is born? I am not sure how that works...

I loved the saying on my cake - it was Happy Labor Day. I used that to for my managers baby shower in the office

I like Heather's idea too. Definitely nothing that would sound like she is really leaving for good.
