What kind of workouts are you trying and can recommend? I am out of shape but I am determined to look great in my wedding dress (I haven't gone shopping for one yet). I just started Weight Watchers and have even done Leslie Sansone's Walk at Home but I feel it's not enough. Does anybody have any suggestions??

Re: Question for the brides trying to get in shape...
I did Weight Watchers in the past and loved it. I don't follow it as strictly now, but I'm sure I will when the date gets closers!
I also have done Couch to 5k (C25K Running Program). It starts off slow and you build up to running a 5k (if you want). I felt it was great and now I actually enjoy running!
Good luck :)

I don't do WW... but I watch calories. To be honest.. the best way that I've learned to lose weight is to watch my calories, walk everywhere I can, and run 3x a week (doing 2.5-3 iles each) with interval training.. meaning I'll run at least 1.5 miles.

Write down what you eat and count those calories... you would be surprised what you 'forget' you ate... On a serious note, drink a lot of water and rest... this enhances the wieght loss.
I need to follow my own advice as well, I have been slacking

WW has worked for me and c25k reaaallly sped up the weight loss when I stuck to it!! I wasn't a runner at alll which is why this program is great because it eases you into it so you don't get discouraged by trying to do too much at first.
Right now I am taking spin and sculpt classes and I love it. I am also going to pick up hot yoga in the fall after the summer is over.

I'm doing WW and making sure I walk 10,000 steps each day.
I've been getting up early to do Zumba and following The Biggest Loser workout on Wii.

The c25k program gradually gets you moving. You start with walking and then add in running until you are able to run a 5k. I believe it takes 8 or 9 Weeks and you walk/run 3x per week.
I was not a runner but this really helped build up stamina. Some days were hard, but I would just repeat it and then keep going.
I believe the developed an app for it too (at least for the iPhone) so you dont have to worry about the time as much when you're on the treadmill (or outside)

Re: Question for the brides trying to get in shape...
I run at the gym every morning before work 20-30 minutes for now. Hoping to increase that as I get stronger.
I also do weight machines for biceps, triceps, shoulders, chest press, row (for back) inner and outter thighs.
I want to have toned arms and back for my strapless dress

crashing!
i'm doing the Insanity workout and doing bikram yoga at night. I also track what I eat on thedailyplate.com and have lost 5.5 lbs in 7 weeks. I highly recommend Insanity. Bikram was just an added plus
good luck girls!!

Re: Question for the brides trying to get in shape...
I'm doing p90x which is going great. Definitely slimmed from the crazy holiday season to my normal chubs. I plan on sticking to that in the long run. Honestly I don't watch what I eat all the time, but I'm trying to slowly get on that.
I tried insanity, but that was too insane for me and didn't motivate me.
The Couch to 5K sounds interesting. I think running really helps you lose weight so I'm going to look into that.

Ugh!! I tried to get up at 530 to do zumba this morning and it was a SUPER FAIL.
Totally reset my alarm for 20 extra minutes.

Re: Question for the brides trying to get in shape...
Google C25K it and if you are on Facebook they have a page on there too! I had the highest hopes of starting the program in the beginning of February, but that was an epic fail! So I hope with the warmer weather coming, that will be my motivation to get moving and become a runner like I had hoped too
Good luck! I've heard lots of great things about it!!!
