In your experience, did you have to put down cash or check deposits for DJ, flowers, Photo? Were you allowed to use a credit card at all?

I know i have put down both check and cash because some vendors ask for cash some ask for check. It all depends you should call and ask.

Some will and some won't. If you have the cash available but the vendor allows you to use a credit card I would use one of those rewards cards that way you can get something out of it - we did that with a travel one to build up points towards the honeymoon.

Every vendor has their preference....we are trying to do cash only so we have no bills after the wedding or accumulate big cc bills.
I have also given deposits over the phone and those we used cc
