Question for you on Card boxes

Okay so how many of you are going to have card boxes that you have to open to put the cards in?
My FH thinks the box I have now (that Im going to decorate) is fine. The guest can open it and crop the card in....I say we should cut a slit in the top of it.
Reason behind me wanting to do this....lets just say there is 1 member of my family (my cousin) who um....I dont trust AT ALL bc he has stolen from me and some other family members in the past (out of our pocketbooks and MY ROOM).
Im trying to convince FH I would feel better if it was just closed for that reason.........
So I guess I wanted to see what you are all doing?

I would cut a hole on top.....it just seems better that way.

I would make a slot on the top for the cards. I think you will feel more comfortable about it that day. That is one less thing you need to worry about

i agree with everyone- seal it up & make a slit.
that way you don't have to worry about anyone. all that cash is temtping to alot of people- and just think of all the staff, guests, etc. too risky to leave it out for the taking!

very few of my guests actually put the card in the box. it was behind the dais. they gave them to me and i put them in. i would seal it if you don't trust him

I was actually telling my mother about a card box, and she said she would rather not...that she wants me to have a 'money bag' as they call it, where when you go around and say hello and people hand you cards, you put them in there....then I will leave that with my grandmother who really doesn't get up at all

If you are worried about someone, then maybe you should consider something else, possibly like this?

we made ours and cut a slit in the top. it's safer that way.
