Re: Question, Im not saying anything but
Wacky, are you the same person that helped me on theknot.com?Also, I didn't realize it was wrong to ask questions about vendors on this site. I thought the purpose of this site was to help each other with ideas and suggestions. I'm just looking for some friendly advice from fellow brides. I'm not here to blow off steam, I'm here to get some help since my wedding is less than 5 months away.
Maybe you weren't talking about me, but I find it interesting that I post 2 messages and then you post this. Sorry if I clogged up the post board.

I was not speaking about you and you can post away. I was pegged for a fake in the begining.
Welcome.

Re: Question, Im not saying anything but
I think you helped me with a DJ question (probably since that's what I've been asking a lot of people lately). I think I asked you who the Stewart Manor recommends. Of course, I don't remember what you said. Any advice?

Re: Question, Im not saying anything but
Wacky,I think you're great. A bit wacky but great
But really don't you all think it's time to put this whole issue to rest. I mean who cares if someone lurks, post , doesn't post or is faking it. While I find the fakers a bit annoying, if you think someone is fake just ignore their post. If we keep this up the same people will continue to post and new brides will be more apprehensive posting. We should not spend so much time policing the boards. We don't own it, leave the investigative work to LI Weddings. I know I may be crucified for saying this but really the whole issue is really getting to me. Everyone should feel welcome. Even those brides who never post. This is a public forum isn't it? JMO

Re: Question, Im not saying anything but
nlp,I feel the same way. Yes, it may be annoying that some people may not be truthful, but this is all about weddings, and helping eachother. Personally, I think this is a great place to come for advice and opinions, so let's not let these others take away from the positive on this site. It's not worth the time, or the effort. Let's just continue to help however we can.

Re: Question, Im not saying anything but
I'm new to a lot of this, so maybe I'm going to be way off here. My biggest concern with using the posts is that someone who is a fake is going to tell me all about a great company and then I book them and they wind up not showing up for my wedding. That being said, as a newbie to the site I do find it difficult to post to what others are saying. It seems as if a lot of people in here have an established relationship and may not want new people to start talking to them. I can understand the concern of people being fake-it's my biggest concern. But everyone should try to be more friendly to the newbies also. We have some advice to give and may be afraid to do so if we're going to get accused of things. So who can help me with a DJ-can you tell I'm freaking out about this?

Re: Question, Im not saying anything but
Jenn524,I kind of feel the same. I think it's so cool that the girls on here seem to have such established relationships, and then I kinda feel like I'm intruding in a sense (man, that sounds ridiculous!) But to make a long story short, I know what you mean....
