i was just reading the 07 board and there was a girl who just got married and saved herself for marriage. it got me thinking.
Do you wish you waited until marriage? (this post excludes you, mizzdimple. we all know you are a virgin )
My thoughts: I think it would have been amazing to wait until I was really truly in love (with FH), however, i don't regret not waiting. Each person I was with, I was in love with and spent many years with... I even fancied the thought of marrying each of them (there were only 2 before FH).

No, I don't regret not waiting. I don't think NOT being a virgin takes away from how special your first time as husband and wife is supposed to be.

I think that is why most women don't wait anymore. We aren't getting married at 18,19 and 20 and our courtships, if you will, are not 9 months or less (for the most part). We are getting married later, fating longer, etc.

No way. I look at it like I've had my fun (lots of fun and I'll never look back and wonder if I missed out on anything... plus getting devirginized kind of wasn't that fun anyway... so at least i won't have to deal with that on my wedding night

Exactly!!!!! If I did get married at 18 then I would have waited. Like Jess Simpson, she waited and got married young. That must be such a great feeling but the older you are its different

yeah exactly...i understand when a couple was young when they got together that is understandable...but fh and i met in our mid twenties so its a bit different lol
but i also think its nice when i read about these things, to each their own and they did what makes them happy and i did what made me happy

Well I'm getting married at 20 .. and FH isn't my first, but he will be my last and I think thats all that matters. Of course I would have liked to wait, but because we didn't I dont think it changes anything between us

agreed. I think it is amazing for people to wait. to know that the man you will spend the rest of your life with was the only one you ever got TRULY intimate with. On the flip side, though, I don't think I could have waited, personally.
