Question of the day (Monday)

i was just reading the 07 board and there was a girl who just got married and saved herself for marriage. it got me thinking.

Do you wish you waited until marriage? (this post excludes you, mizzdimple. we all know you are a virgin )

My thoughts: I think it would have been amazing to wait until I was really truly in love (with FH), however, i don't regret not waiting. Each person I was with, I was in love with and spent many years with... I even fancied the thought of marrying each of them (there were only 2 before FH).

honestly if i saved myself I probably would of been very upset at myself now and filled with regret. I felt by getting stuff out of my system made me more calm and secure about myself and my sexuality. I stuck with long term relationships when it came to men but i had a fling or two with women and it helped me realize many things about humans and about relationships.

Its great if you did/are saving yourself but for me I would feel silly at my age (28) just learning about my sexual habbits likes and dislikes.

that is very true. i never thought about it like that.... like what if you are attracted to guys your whole life, you wait to have sex utnil you are married and then afterwards you are like, wow, i'm not so sure about the penis... i wonder what vagina is like (I'm not trivializing what you are saying, i'm just putting a funny spin on it. i totally agree with you)

Honestly, I think that if I waited all this time to have sex and lost my virginity on my wedding night - it would have ruined my entire wedding DAY bc I would have been so nervous about it.

Also, I don't know about you girls - maybe it was bc I was so young but I was like ' you are kidding right? that was it?' and there is NO WAY I would want to be so disappointed on my wedding night.

good point, Tilde. I really didn't enjoy sex with my first. It hurt and I just layed there (lol). But with the second it got better and now with FH, it's the best. I feel comfortable and relaxed. And i hear you on the nervousness.

Funny side story. my grandma waited until the wedding night and at the end of the night she said to her mom, 'I don't want to go with him, I'm scared' and her mother made her go. She came back from the honeymoon a week later and said, 'mom, I don't like it, I want to come back and live with you' and my nanny said, 'You made your bed and you must lie in it'. They were obviously talking about the sex, but never EVER said those words... that is 1956 for you!
