Question of the day (Monday)

Original post by yelley77

i was just reading the 07 board and there was a girl who just got married and saved herself for marriage. it got me thinking.

Do you wish you waited until marriage? (this post excludes you, mizzdimple. we all know you are a virgin )

My thoughts: I think it would have been amazing to wait until I was really truly in love (with FH), however, i don't regret not waiting. Each person I was with, I was in love with and spent many years with... I even fancied the thought of marrying each of them (there were only 2 before FH).

Nooooooooo way that means I would have been waiting for 7 years and still be waiting

I think that is why most women don't wait anymore. We aren't getting married at 18,19 and 20 and our courtships, if you will, are not 9 months or less (for the most part). We are getting married later, fating longer, etc.

Well I'm getting married at 20 .. and FH isn't my first, but he will be my last and I think thats all that matters. Of course I would have liked to wait, but because we didn't I dont think it changes anything between us

i agree with you. I don't think NOT waiting makes the wedding night less special. I

FH is my only partner but Im happy I wasnt FH's first. I would never have wanted to be with a guy who didnt get to have his fun before me. But as far as FH being my only partner, it doesnt bother me at all. I get a lot of people saying, 'FH is the only person youve been with? Thats crazy! Arent you curious?' I hate those comments. If I was ever curious, I wouldnt have stayed with him this long. I always dreamed Id be with one person my whole life. I was never curious about sleeping with other people. Maybe Im crazy!

hahahah so it was effortless, even better bc you dont have to try hard lol...honestly whenever i put my hair up and do the bun type thing but all bunched up it only comes out good if i do it quickly while im at home just to put it up or not even paying attention...when i go to work and i sit there trying to do it nice it always looks like crap.

here's my trick. When you do the front, you HAVE to tease it. I do little sections at a time. from my forehead until about 1/2 way back then pin it with 2 bobby pins. then, i pull it into a ponytail (not high, maybe a little bit lower than in my pic) and on the last time pulling the ponytail through, don't pull it all the way, so it make almost a loop with your hair. then pull it tight and forward (this lifts it high up on your head) and pull the shirt hairs out of the bottom to it looks like all your hair is out, but it's not. sound tricky, but it's so easy.

did that make ANY sense? LMAO

I don't regret not waiting at all. I would have been waiting a VERY long time . I had a lot of fun as a single girl, and let's just say I got a lot of my system. It doesn't take away from it being extra special w/ FH. He's the person I've loved the most, and that in and of itself makes being with him so much more intimate than anyone else in the past.

it's really effortless, lol. i swear!!! I also HATE my hair up b.c i have a peanut head. I wear my brothers hats and they are a little big on me and he is 10... so I am really self conscious about it. but really, it's easy. shouldn't take you more than 5 minutes!!!

and good for you! we should take more time to make ourselves feel good. whether it's doing our hair more often, our just throwing on some mascara on a day we are late, etc. I never used to care about how I looked until I met FH. I thought he was so hot and I always wanted to look good by his side... not for him, but for me.
