If you are renting, what type of insurance do you use? I know when you have a house and home owners insurance, you put it under there.
Any feedback would be really helpful!!
Thanks.

Re: QUestion regarding E-ring insurance
we have it insured through jeweler's mutual. Chances are we will keep this policy even after we have homeowner's insurance. It's not too expensive and covers a lot.

It is called a Personal Article Policy. Each item should be listed with it's appraisal value. I have my Renters Insurance with one carrier and my Personal Article with another. If you call your broker and send the apprasial to them, they should be able to hook you up with a good policyl

I had a renters policy and a personal articles policy that had my jewelry on it. It was tied into the policy.

Re: QUestion regarding E-ring insurance
We have our renters insurance through Liberty Mutual. When we got the e-ring we added a rider to it (also through LM) that covers the ring. We pay one total bill for both the renters insurance and the ring - which was easier for us.
We are happy with the service from Liberty Mutual.
Good luck!

Re: QUestion regarding E-ring insurance
I was just going to post this question. The current rider I have, for a 'personal article' is $360 for a year. Doesn't that seem like a lot??? What does everyone else pay?

That is very high!! I have a personal articles policy (not a rider on another policy) that cost less than $100 for a full year with no deductable.

Re: QUestion regarding E-ring insurance
We have a seperate policy with Jewlers Mutual. FH researched and found it to be much more affordable than going on homeowners policy.
