Just curious, how many of us think we would become stay at home moms once we have kids?
I have absolutely no desire to stay at home with the kids. I told FH that he was welcome to quit his job though. I just can't imagine life without having a career. I've worked so hard to be in the position that I'm in that I just don't want to give it up. Both of my parents worked full-time while I was growing up and I don't feel like I missed out.
I have worked really hard to get to where I am in my career though it is hard to say how I will feel once I have little one's. I know the toughest business women that swore up and down they would continue to work as hard and long as they were and completely changed their tune after their baby was born. Ideally I would like to work from home 2 days a week and in the office 3 days a week. I will definitely tone down my work related travel after kids. I have some time so we'll see what happens then.
I would love to stay at home at least until the kids are in school, but it all depends on the $$$ factor.
I don't think that staying home will be an option for me. I also work on a school calenday, so that makes working somewhat easier.

i will definately be a stay at home mom until they are in a full day of school...then who knows...
i love working..but i want to be the one that raises my kids...not a daycare....JMO
I will definitely be working full time I think... If financially I could do part time.. maybe that is an option... but most likely full time hours... if possible working some from home.

If I could afford it I would definitely love to stay at home until the kids went to school, but I highly doubt that is going to be possible if I want to live on Long Island...so my mom and my MIL will be my babysitters while I am at work teaching some one elses kids
