Does anyone have a list of questions to ask the photographer? I got the one they have on the knot and added some of my own but I was wondering if anyone had their own lists or just post questions I shouldn't forget to ask! Thanks!

LOL Amy!! Actually, I''m not leaning towards anyone at all yet... I just started researching and compiling the list of those I want to visit, probably after the holidays. I''m making up a list of questions to ask like I did for the reception sites. No racing, please! I can''t take the pressure!! LOL!
So how is my date twin doing? Gotten any wedding stuff done lately?

Re: Questions for the photographer...
Ive been busy planning (I looked at photo/video this past weekend with my parents who were visiting from fla.) But not to ignore your question. These are questions I will be asking/inquiring...
--see the indoor studio in case of rain --done a wedding at North Ritz? --how long until proofs are ready? --when does photo/video leave the reception (one studio told me the bride has to sign a card in order for photo to leave) --proof size..comes in box or album? --what time will they be at my house? --is there overtime or does this cover the whole day ( this is imp to me b.c i have an ETERNITY between church and reception, and need photo for almost 12 hours)
Some of these may seem obvious, but I always miss an important question

Re: Questions for the photographer...
I would make sure to see a photo album and/or pictures taken by the photographer that will be shooting your wedding.
Many times, a photography studio will show you the 'best of the best' and those pictures may not be ones taken by your actual photographer. So, make sure you see the work.
Also, see if they are willing to show you proofs/pictures/albums of currently shot weddings, so you can see what has recently been shot. No use seeing an album taken 2 years ago. The person that shot that wedding may not even be employed by that studio anymore.
Ask if you can meet with the photographer who will shoot your day, so you can get a feel for him/her.
Ask about how long the photgrapher has been employed.
And of course, check on here for any comments made by past brides.
Good Luck!

if they do film...what format they shoot in. ASk them what they think makes for good photos, why the do film or digital over the other, what happens in case of emergency (our photgrapher actually asked us what they should do if WE had an emergency!!!).

Re: Questions for the photographer...
also ask them if they give you your proofs and negatives free or at a charge (if this matters to you) - if they do give them to you - find out when (we found that some places hold them for a year or more!)
and definitely make sure you are seeing their work - not a co-workers or ex-coworkers...
see what kinds of ides they have too in terms of photos
one more hitng - find out if they have any available back up equipment as well - just in case something breaks or jams....
