Have you ever felt like you bonded with some people too soon, too fast and felt that they were great friends from the beginning only to find out that you are not that special to them? That they do that with a lot of people.

Re: Quick friends
Maybe that's the issue? That you are a rare breed that wants a new BFF, and most people simply don't have the time to commit to a friendship like that? Just a thought, since we all seem to have that view...

Re: Quick friends
I know what you're talking about Sophie, not a high-maintenance friend just someone who all of a sudden disappears for no apparent reason. Story of my life!!
I don't know what it is but I just can't seem to keep friends, even my own cousins who are my age don't really care to be my friend despite the efforts I've made. I had the hardest time picking out BMs, most were family and we don't KIT. My MOH was a friend from college, I hope we stay in touch so that I'm not looking at my pics in 20 years and having no idea where she is/what she's doing.
It's very upsetting not having any friends, I hope the ones I met on here will stick around for a long time!!!!! Otherwise it's just me and DH!!!

Re: Quick friends
Thats why there are few people in this world I trust. I like many, but trust few.
It takes a lot for me to let people 'in.'
And the ones that are too friendly, I will be friendly back. But I wait and see if there is anything real behind it.
ETA: That being said, I am the most low-maintenance friend there is.... I just like people to be 'real' if that makes sense....
