QUITTING SMOKING FOR THE WEDDING . . .

Original post by 12-3Princess

Soooo, I quit smoking Sunday night in preparation for the wedding (do NOT want to be seen smoking in that pretty ivory dress) - Plus, I have wanted to quit for a long time anyway . . .

As of now, it's been almost 3 days of no cigarettes, cold turkey, with one piece of emergency nicorette gum.

Has anyone else quit lately? We could offer mutual support & encouragement on this thread . . .

The patch really helps to take the edge off.

Good luck. My FH has tried to quit 2x. he is planning the 3rd attempt after his exam this month.

Start walking, deep breathing, chew gum etc... have to create other ways to deal with stress other than smoking.

I know my puff breaks are my few breaks from work, I smoke more at work than I do at home.

My FH and I have just quit since Sunday. So far it hasn't been too bad for me but I was a very light smoker. My FH on the other hand is a pack a day so he's having some difficulties. He has to have neck surgery so he has to be smoke free for 2 months prior to the surgery.
Say some prayers for him!!
