Hi all, my FH and I just talked to a rabbi and the cost to officiate a wedding is close to $900. Is this unreasonably high, because it seems like it to me!

I've spoken to several Rabbis and have gotten a range of prices (lowest was $625, highest was $1000).
I'm totally FMing the girls who found $600 rabbis though

i had a difficult time finding a rabbi at a reasonable price, i am paying around the $900 area as well.

I went to an interfaith wedding recently and the couple used Rabbi Tobin- We thought he did a nice ceremony.
My friend is using him for her wedding. We tried to get him to do ours but he was booked. Heard he is really good but he is very hard to get a hold of.
The rabbi we used was $695 and he gave us a ketuba. He does interfaith but I would not recommend him at all sorry.
