Okay, this is going to possibly sound weird - but I'm trying to avoid doing some work stuff, so I figured I'd ask! I've never tweezed, plucked, waxed, threaded my eyebrows. They're still the ones that I was born with lol. I'm possibly thinking of fixing them up for the wedding but am scared that once I start, I have to do it constantly, or that they'll get messed up! They're not necessarily bushy but they don't have a shape/shape and I almost feel like my makeup will look much better with them shaped up!
I've attached a picture.
I still don't know what to do.

Threading is not pain-free but it's not that bad either, just think about it this way...beauty is painful lololol maybe I'm exaggerating with this quote!
i agree, but i think im so used to it now it doesnt really hurt, i do it on my lunch break sometimes and i go back to seeing clients like nothing.
adelz - you have really nice eye brows so any way you go you will be fine!

Thanks lady...
okay 2-3 weeks is not bad, so I can give it a try a few months before the wedding just IN CASE. Who wants to come with me and hold my hand while I do it? LOL

Re: Random Eyebrow Question
I get mine threaded every 2 weeks and I love the way they look! I feel they can get more of a precise line w/ the thread plus I heard it's better for your skin and the wax used to give me bumps and breakouts. I would def give it a try at least once. The place I go to in Floral Park is only 5 bucks. Let me know if you want the name.

Re: Random Eyebrow Question
i HIGHLY recommend threading.
it gives you the cleanest look and lasts the longest out of tweezing/waxing/threading.
also, it is said that years of waxing cause wrinkles due to the skin pulling.
threading, like waxing, is an acquired numbness lol the first few times you may feel its painful but after that you will be used to it.
also, you dont have to give up your natural shape, just ask them to clean up you natural shape and slightly define it more. if you are ready for more after the first time, then have her define it even more.
i have sensitive skin also so i just dont let them put lotion on my skin after and im fine.
HTH! and i hope you give threading a chance

THIS! I get waxed though. I have what I cann 'jungle brows' if I dont haha they are thick, so I get mine done every 2 weeks (even if they aren't that bad..) I ahve honestly never tried threading though. You do have nice brows, but if you want - try going somewhere and jstu ahve them clean it up a little - I do agree with everyone though be it waxing ot threading - it is a little painful/annoying at first - you get used to it after a few times though. I wax everything lol

Re: Random Eyebrow Question
So I'm allergic to either the wax or the oily stuff that they put on your brows afterwards, so I can't wax anymore. I used to go every couple of weeks but then I started to break out in hives around my eyes when I got them done. So now I just tweeze, which hurts like hell, FYI Good luck on your eyebrow endeavor! You have nice ones to begin with, so it should be a breeze!
