ok yep...I'm creating all sorts of threads bc I'm BORED. It's Friday, and I don't wanna work!
FH and I want to get married in Oct. We'll prob book 10/2/11. It's open at our venue. Yeah yeah, I know, I'm stalling but anyway...
We're huge Halloween fans and so I want to incorporate a few Fall touches. Everyone HATES all these ideas.
Monogrammed pumpkins...I'd do it myself with a dremel and the foam pumpkins I always buy at Michael's. I saw it on one of those real wedding sites and loved the idea. Not necessarily THIS one, but maybe a scrolly 'P' for our last name.
and I'm torn on this one...those mini pumpkins as place card holders. LOVE the idea but I'm thinking it may be easier to make my own seating chart and scatter the mini pumpkins on the tables w the centerpieces...that will be in glass pumpkins.
i actually love both of those ideas! originally i was going to do a fall theme and i wanted to incorporate pumpkins. i say go for it! it's your wedding anyway, so you and FH are the only ones who have to be happy

lol oh I have more...fat Witch brownies...get it..witch? Halloween?
FH wants a candy buffet but I said no...but...I could have all sorts of Fall colored candies...Ugh he ***** bc I sorta want it but not.
I'm trying to keep the wedding classy, but yet make it reflect me. My Mom made a comment a while back about me doing something tacky with Halloween and I told her she's lucky I don't guilt her into buying me a wedding gown, cover it in fake blood and dress up as a zombie.
She shut up. This is why shes not involved in my planning. lol

i love these ideas actually.. i've seen them incorporated a lot on the wedding shows on tv and always thought that i was clever. i would totally do it esp if your a big halloween fan!

That would be great because I have never carved a pumpkin. I am planning on doing a lot of DIY projects. I'm soooo glad I have time to practice and perfect them. You should definitely do it. It's beautiful and unique
