Random Question

Call me clueless or whatever but I am just curious why some girls dont post anything...like their venue or photographer or anything. Is it a privacy thing? Just wondering

you know, i always wonder the same thing, and i must say, this irks the crap out of me. i know everyone is entitled to their opinion, but really, what do you have to hide? this is a wedding related website and we are all here to help each other out.
what will hiding your info do? no one will stalk anyone else for other people's answers.

I had all the info up but took it down after the issue Laura had on the 2010 boards.

You have to be registered to post but you dont have to be registered to look and after thinking about it, it kinda freaked me out.

Exactly! I have our info up but this is the reason why I won't put pics of me in my dress or my b-pics when I take them in my albums.

I did the same exact thing... I'm an open book, I'll share anything with anyone, but I have plenty of people who don't like me because I'm not, umm agreeable, and I worry something like that could happen to me... People (other than you ladies) know I spend a lot of time on these boards and I have a really awful FSIL so I could see things like that happening to me...........

Definitely a privacy issue but you know what, if you read through all my posts at some point, you'll see exactly who i've booked with. i think it's mainly because you don't have to be registered to see everything we post and to be totally honest i have an INSANE ex that would literally show up at my wedding if he knew where it was/what time etc...

other than that, when I first signed up i was reading horror stories about girls who posted too much info and actually had stalkers either call and cancel their orders for things or rearrange scheduling... people are nuts, look at what happened to Laura and her pictures... It's really sad but until this site become a member only type of thing i wouldn't want to just hand over all my information/vendors for the world to see.

And besides, if anyone were to ask I'd tell them who I am using

I did the same thing too! I post on threads my Reception Hall and other info. And some people have FMed me about it. But I'm also worried about lurkers.

I totally agree - if you see my posts and follow me here I am an open book so if you ask i have nothing to hide.

But after certain situations have come about it was MY choice to remove the info. BUt I have no problem if people ask me and I have no problem helping people out.

The issue w/ this site being viewable to everyone has been an issue for a while and that is up to website creators to make those decisions. We all have the choice to either post the info or not and some of us chose not to.

Seriously...what is wrong with people? I can't believe people are like that....that have nothing better to do than do that to someone. People need LIVES!!! (as i sit on LIW all day )

Aghhh, i wrote a long response and it kicked me out but you girls summarized everything I had to say!

I have mentioned my vendors and stuff in past posts so it's not a secret I'm keeping but I just don't want it all in one shot. You gotta work to stalk me lol.

Someone I know had told me about that whole thing... a little scary to me too..

I dont have anything so that is why I dont have nothing on profile or in a threat...
I am not even planning my wedding now... the ideal is get marry on 2011 but we arent sure,... so... =( that is why i dont post anything about that

I actually know someone who had all her info up on a wedding website and apparently her Finace's ex girlfriend registered under a fake name and found her whole profile... Needless to say guess who showed up at their wedding and caused chaos??? That was horrible for the 2 of them to deal with on their wedding day!
