Random question: Did anybody register for a vacuum?

Random question: Did anybody register for a vacuum?

I know, totally random. But it's been suggested that we register for one.

Question is- which one? And how much should the limit be on this?

TIA!

we wanted to register for one but the ones we liked were about 400-500...so we didn't.

We registered for a Dyson .... it was on a whim, we figured that no one would get it for us, so we could get it for a discount using the registry completion after the wedding ...

We got it at our e-party!

I know...I really think it's nuts! I keep being told, yes, register for the pricey stuff- i.e. china, vacuum, luggage- but seriously, who besides immediate family will really spend all that money on me? It seems ridiculous!!!

We did register for a vacuum (the Bissell 3595)& I just checked my registry and it didn't display the price. Just asked FH and he thinks it was around $250, but he isn't sure.

we're going to register for one - you never know! Plus like someone else said - you'll get the registry discount if no one buys it!

We'll prob register for a Hoover - someone that's been around for a while with a good name!

I hate registering!

Now I wonder if I should get that huge Calphalon pot set - it's like $400!!! Just insane to me!!!

Is it necessary to get a whole set? What should I do?

I have been back and forth with this for so long when I first registered. Just put things that you want on there, don't really look at the price if it's something you want and need. You never know who might buy it and if they don't the option is always there for the both of you to get it after the Wedding if you want it that bad.

You will be surprised some of the things people get.

We did. We registered for the Dyson Animal. I wanted it and knew that my office would do a collection and get me a gift card so it would actually be feasible to get it. the 20% off coupons from BBB are valid on Dysons so you can save $100 that way.

Same here.. We have yet to purchase it though.. We're planning on using coupons or doing the completion thing..

We added the Dyson Animal vacuum (which is very close to $500) because we have dogs and they are said to be the best vacuum. No way do we expect to receive it, but we can get 20% off after the wedding, so that's a great deal.

We put a full set of Calphalon pots/pans ($300 for the nonstick) and put a few individual pieces. We didn't expect to receive this either, but we actually got the set already! It was our first prewedding gift! Our best man and his wife gave it to us at Christmas time and we were REALLY shocked!

So you just never know
