I like to go to dinner and have a few drinks. You wont find me in club or bar every single weekend anymore...Im just done with that. Nothing against anyone doing, Im just over it. Most of my friends are still doing it but Im also the first engaged. I guess I look like the old fart lol
But aside from that...I still have my girls over usually once a week for a nice bottle of wine lol

Sometimes we'll go out to a bar, but we're definitely not out late like we used to. Mostly on weekends we're just exhausted from running around all day that we have dinner and watch our TiVo'd shows. So much cheaper than going out!

We like to dine out, sometimes with friends but mostly it's just us.
I used to be a partier (clubs, bars, lounges) until I hit about 26, then I just got bored and tired with it. It just didn't suit me anymore. FH was never a partier, he was a square his whole life . He liked spending time with his family.
Now I'm pretty much a home body with the exception of when we dine out. In terms of drinking FH doesn't drink because his somewhat allergic to it, his body just doesn't react well with alcohol. while I used to drink i really don't much anymore, with the exception of a glass of wine here or there and maybe a cocktail once in a while. It just doesn't sit well with my tummy...getting older *****
I don't think anyone should look down on you if you like to still go out and drink..everybody is at different stage of their lives at different times. I have friends that like to just dine out and are homebody's and are single and I have friends that are married with 2 small children (3 and 1) and still love to go out and have drinks. It's all subjective. i say if you enjoy a few drinks when you go out then drink up and don't worry about anyone else!

I used to go out to happy hour all the time, and stay out late, drink as much as I could for $25 :) But now, I prefer to go out for a drink or two at a quieter bar, maybe get apps or a light dinner and then go home and watch a movie. We still go out every weekend, but almost always it's just one night, the other night we stay home, or go to a friends' house, etc. I think the change is partly because we are a little older but mostly because we don't have the money to go out too much. we are saving for a house, honeymoon, etc - and don't forget 401k's! sounds crazy that 6 years ago I didn't care about that - but you have to start sometime or, in my opinion, you'll never have what you want.

We're definitely done with the bar/club scene. We enjoy going out dinner a lot and even sitting at home with some wine.
Most of our friends though, are still into the bar scene. they make fun of us, because we drink wine! apparently, we're considered 'old' now.
Only two of my friends are married and some are younger than us...they complain that we never want to go out. but it's just the bar scene that we're done with. We like going out to dinner, comedy clubs, movies...
We're definitely excited about having dinner parties and things like that.

I hear ya... College was the time of my life- I partied almost every night and loved it. I still love going out to bars with my girlfriends and having a good time. But lately I'm not in the mood AS MUCH as I used to be. It doesn't mean that I never am. I have Friday nights when I come home and just feel like drinking... or if it's a friend's bday, bachelorette party, or if I'm visiting one of my friends from college, you can bet it's gonna be an all-night drinking fest.
But the days of getting drunk and waking up early for work the next morning are OVER- I just can't handle it anymore. I used to go to 8am classes with a hangover. I could never do that anymore!
I think once I have kids I'll still go out now and then, and then once they're in college, I will probably go out even more (thats what my parents did- they go out as much as me now that my sister and I are out of the house!)

We are not into the bar scene as much anymore either. I mean we do go out eveyr now and again and get loaded but we tend to stay in more. I don't hink any of my friends are into that scene anymore. I do like to go out and a have a few drinks with dinner and hang out after but mostly no bar scenes. except fo bdays bach. party, and stuff like thta
