Random question-will you have kids soon after getting married?
FI & I have been together for 6 years; and have lived together for 1 so far.
By the time we get married in 2011; we would have been together for 8 years; and living together for 3. I would love to start planning a family right away. Like 3-6 months after the wedding.
I'm kind of at the point where it's like what would we be waiting for (that is if we're finanically prepared that soon after our wedding). I wouldn't want to give birth until the year after our wedding so that my vacatinon time refeshes LOL!
How soon is everyone else waiting?

aww that is so exciting!!! We'll probably wait a few years since FH is in school and then he'll have his residency after, so hopefully not for like 3 - 4 years after we get married

FI wants to have kids now if he could haha
by the time we get married we will both be 28 and we both would like to have at least one before we are 30 so I we'll see what happens... I already told him though to give me some breathing room... no honeymoon baby! lol... maybe we'll wait 6 months after the wedding

that is exciting! i think you you are both ready afterwards than why not.
When FH and I will be married we will both by 25 and with a year left of medical school. Residency follows and will be at least 3 years. I would like to have a baby maybe in my last year of residency around 28 yrs old. If I wait till residency is done and then fellowship I'll be well into my 30s which is fine but Id rather have my first before 30. we'll just have to see what happens.

Heck yes....I want two by the time I'm 35 so we are going to start ASAP.

I didn't know if i should include the fact that by the time we're married FI will be 35; and i'll be 28. And i would like to have my 1st before 30 since i want to have them someone spread apart...

Well as i believe it is all in Gods hands bc there are some people who try for years and some when i swear they just kiss and end up preggo! FH & I discussed going off b/c after the wedding and whatever happens, happens.

I have been with FH for very long time and I don't want to wait long after we get married to have kids. I think I might loose that battle because he wants to wait about 2 years
We will both be 28 when we get married and I wanted to have one before I turn 30. Maybe there is a way to convince him

I will be 25 and FH will be 26 so we are planning to wait 3 years or so...around 28ish...but we will see what happens

I want to travel for a year or so after the wedding.
Jason will be 26 at the wedding, I'll be 25. We'll have been together 6 1/2 years at that point so I don't want to wait too long. I want a ton of kids and I want to be a young mom.
I agree with the girl on here who says we'll prob stop using birth control (after that 1st year which everyone says is the hardest) and what happens will happen. I'm not going to rush things and worry about cycles and be disappointed if things don't happen on a schedule.

I wanted to wait 1 year after we got married to start trying, but that was before I knew it would take over 2 yrs to save for the wedding. I will be 34 when we get married, so we might start trying NOW! lol
We'll start once we are settled in our new house and have a little $ set aside. I don't want to 'jump into' having children right away. I want to feel a little financially ready (even though you are NEVER really $$ Ready for a child) I know that waiting so long might mean only 1 child for us, but if there's always the chance of twins!

immediatley! hahaha no seriously... ill be 32 when we get married and FH will be 29 - we will be living together 3yrs by that time - we want to try pretty soon after

We plan to have a baby very soon after the wedding if not before....
My mother has asked me not to walk down the aisle preggo but it's in God's hands. Both of our families are expecting it very soon anyway so no surprise there.....

lol FI and i have a 2 1/2 year old daughter (our lil flower girl) but by the time we get married we will both be 29 so we are going to try right away

Since I'll only be 23 when we get married..I definitely want to wait at least four years before even considering having a baby...I would like to wait until my late twenties for that

I'll be 26 by the time we get married and my FI will be 33. I know that he wants to have children sooner rather than later, but I will still have at least one more year left of graduate school, so I would really rather wait a year or two before we start trying.

We are waiting at least 3-5 years, but that is because I am young and selfish right now. We have time so I am in no rush.
