Random Thanksgiving inspired Survey o Thee Day - Monday

What is your favorite Thanksgiving vegetable?

Mine is butternut squash - which I am really really hoping his aunt makes (we can't bring anything beyond Tofurkey cause she is a chef and could get insulted).

ETA: Sweet - I am ALL the related topics!

Creamed spinach

Tho it's the creamy part and not the veggie part that makes it my fave!

I am all over butternut squash in soup form.
Dose sweet potato pie or yams count?
With the marshmallows and cinnamon?

Ditto. I like most veggies, though.

I've never had butternut squash.

I've never had the pleasure of butternut squash, I'm intrigued now.

I'll second the sweet potatoes/yams as well!! Mmmmmmm!!

If you decide to try butternut squash, cut into fry form and bake each side for 20 minutes at 350 or bake it the whole thing and then drizzle it with maple syrup.

Fresh broccoli and cheese! Plus, we roast some carrots and add it on and it;s delicious!

Remember when Joey on Friends called it Squatternut Buash? I think of that everytime I hear the other word. LOL

I love sweet potatoes. I hate cranberry sauce from a can but I make a mean a** cranberry relish from scratch. I usually have to make several batches because people stop by to take some home to their families.

I never liked Friends but I'm so going to call it that from now on.

good answer, good answer!

I couldn't answer this question unless I went the potato route (which is a complete cop out). I'm into heavy starches and white meats, so the cheese factor helps. thanks!
