(RANT) Is my Fh the only one....

with NO concept of timing?? We went over our guest list in JULY!! I have all my addresses ready to go, made the necessary calls, and tonite he looks at all the YELLOW highlights on my spreadsheet and sees they're all his, so he tells me to send this one's invite to so and so's address because they see eachother daily, and so on.. I'm like ***!!! Pick up the PHONE, call your FRIGGEN family and get an ADDRESS. It'll take 20 minutes!!

Am I totally going bridezilla or is it me?? I would really HATE to get a wedding invitation at my BROTHER'S house, KNOWING that all the bride/groom had to do was pick up the phone and call me or ANYONE for that matter to get my address..

Am I over reacting?? And if I am, can someone CYBERSMACK me?? GRRRRR

Having such a bad night with this man.. and we NEVER fight..

OMG trust me your not alone!!!!!!! They are all the same way!!!!!!! I got the same thing especially for his friends that arent married and I know their gf's. Im like I just need his gf's correct spelling of her name (if I wasnt sure) and her last name. O just address it to my friend and his gf's first name. WHAT?! ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! ITs a wedding invitiation not an invite to our BBQ!

girl I feel your pain ten times over.....
It's too the point I can't argue anymore cause I feel like I asked for it by aggreeing to spend the rest of my life with him.

After awhile I just shake my head an move on.

The last time we had this arguement I told him he would suffer big time if he kept it up and he would be put on punishment.....so with that said there was no nookie until the list was complete. Within 2 days he was on the phone with his entire generation to get his list finished.. its sad but it worked...

Remember at the end of the day he's the love of you're life and you two will be spending the rest of your lives together..

Ugh, he's KILLING me. then he gets mad cause I'm like well fine, Whoever's information I don't have by Sunday, is NOT invited.. We have 280 people invited to start with.. More money in my pocket.. Shieeeet!!!

And then he has the NERRRRRRRRRRVE to tell me to call HIS friends to get info. I was like oooh no sweetheart.. Love them to death, but they're YOUR friends.. Do youuuu!!!

Oooh and that 'no nookie' punishment.. I think I'd have a SERIOUS issue with that.... I'd be punishing MYSELF!! HAHAHAHA!!

Okay well I was reading this thread to FH and he was like 'well i wouldn't care if my invite went to someone else house. So what happens if you don't have someone's gf's name just leave it off'. UGH!!!!!!!!! Now I know what I have to look forward to with him!

You are totally not alone in this.

I've been grappling with this for months. First off, FH doesn't even know the names of the family that his mother is insisting we invite. So our STDS came in, and I had to get the addresses from her. So she gives me a list of about 20 people, but most of them say 'The Smith Family' and the address. So I freaked and was like I'm not putting the Smith Family, because then they'll think that the family is actually invited. So I ask FH, just tell me the first names of the people in the Smith family, the Jones Family, and the Brown family and I'll match it up with the master list...and he couldn't tell me, because he doesn't even know the last names of the people and what states they live in.

Oh believe me I'm right there with you on this one.

omg! i know how you feel! i lost it a month ago... he kept putting me off, not getting the information we needed and i flat out refused to call anyone for him because the way i see it, it's his wedding too. So i printed out the spreadsheet with his blank, highlighted lines (tons of blanks) - handed it to him and said 'if you don't get this back to me tomorrow, filled in, with addresses and names (FIRST AND LAST)...they're not coming.' ... somehow, it worked. and to be fair, he was so cute, he came home from work and pulled it out of his pocket, unfolded it and said 'Bam!' like he was so proud! so annoying sometimes, yet so darn cute :o) well, that was my crazy-bride moment :o) you are NOT alone :o)

2 of DH's brothers married the year b4 us, so I got lucky. I went over to SIL's house and said 'give me what you got' then did the same with the other. DH would have been the same way. It was pulling teeth to get the rest of the addresses. can you call his mom/sibling? NOt that it is your job but it will feel good to get it. Enlist FMIL help also.

DH took about two months to get people's addresses for me. And then when we were trying to get people's RSVPs in it took him two weeks. Both times it was like a 30 minute ordeal but he was such a pain...

you are not the only one....he has given me his guest list with so many nicknames on them I couldn't even put it in my spreadsheet. THEN on top of trying to figure out the real names...(like you known him forever you dont know his real name?) he doesn't know their addressess..smh...THEN his father gives me the guest list for him and low and behold what is on their NICKNAMES...the apple doesn't fall far from the tree..so hence Im still waiting for the finally guest list

You really have to understand your FH & what makes him tick. If you know he's not good at one thing or another, do it yourself. Don't depend on him to do something you know he'll mess up. I love my FH with all my heart, he is truly a pleasure....................It is also a true pleasure to get something done myself & know it's done right without getting his dumb A-$$ involved!

OMG!! I thought I was alone!! I love you guys.. and that comment about nicknames.. He originally gave me a list of 90 people, first names only and TONS of nicknames.. Like for example 'Uncle Snoozy' ARE YOU KIDDING MEEEEE!!!>?!?!?!? I wanted to die...
