RANT - Lillette's - UPDATED

I think that what they did to you was totally unprofessional and rude.

I did, however, have a positive experience there myself and after reading person after person bashing Lillette's, I just thought I'd put it out there that they treated me nicely, had 4 dresses I considered buying (when I couldn't find one at any of the other stores I went to) and sold my dress for less than anywhere else, even the much-touted no-frills RK Bridal. I don't know that other brides considering looking there should necessarily cross it off of their lists.

Still, what they did to you was wrong and I think you handled it really well!

It ***** that you got caught in the middle. Its funny because stores tell you they will price match...but I guess they really dont want to.

I know Maggie Sottero does require all their dresses sold at a standard price.

Well you def. got your message across !! Very unprofessional of them to do such a thing. If they would do that to you , they would do it to anybody else !

BUT honestly and dont take this the wrong way but whenever ANYBODY goes into a store and tells them that they found it for less at X store then you do kinda put yourself in the middle of it, i see alot of girls on here and other ppl i know who do this and i always think 'Oooo i cant do that' bc for one some ppl lie just to get a better deal and the store might be upset about this and actually call to find out, or in this situation the other store was doing something against the manufacturers wishes and now they got caught bc of it.

i know some people get mad and say how its a cut throat business but the salons have to purchase these dresses, of course they get it for less and have to make a profit for it, theyre not in the wrong really unless they mark it up by alot and against what the manufacturer says, now of course we all want to save money but at the same time as a business you need to pay the rent, pay employees, supplies and much more so for them its about keeping their business open and not like we'll pay their rent.

ALso i think even if they didnt use your name this other bridal salon would've known it was you anyways since they asked about that particular dress and you JUST went in for it, so they would've put 2 and 2 together. Even if no names were used i think they would've known.

I dont care that they called the manfacturer to try and get this other store to do the right thing and sell the dress at the price they want it sold at - i get that. Competition is what it is. I care that they had the nerve to use my name. Period. And you're right - they clearly would have figured it out regardless, since i was JUST there. So telling on me was completely unnecessary. Not to mention tacky.

i am not say what they did wasn't wrong...i am just saying that a business is going to care more about their business and making sure their competition doesnt have one up on them so by telling them the name of another place carrying it for less, it might be expected that they might do something. Obviously you didnt know what they were doing was wrong so not like you were looking to get this other place in trouble. I just said this is why ive been personally afraid to do this myself bc i dont trust any business not to look out for themselves and do something about it, so thats what i meant by saying that i was always afraid of doing this

people do bargain hunt not saying anyone shouldn't, but that can mean just going to different places to see who has the best price and going with that.

I never went to Lillettes and have heard alot of mixed reviews about them on here so cant speak on their behalf about service or anything to do with them since i have no experience with them.
