Re: RCI Time shares
My parents have 4 or 5 weeks with them - we jsut put in 2 requests for place in Florida and they found rooms for us at both places! I think they have been good - my parents did have one no so great experience at a property in Costa Rica, but they wound up switching hotels and RCI reimbursed them for that week - so even though they had to move and make some calls, they were satisfied with them.

Re: RCI Time shares
Yes my in-laws gave us there timeshare to me and my fiance!! We are going to Hawaii for 15 nights 16 days and we are staying at Princeville!! the exchange was $250.00 for the 2 weeks and we also booked our airfare through them and we paid for the two of us round trip $1,600 so it also depends on what ur exchange depends on were ur going to stay there exchange rate is the gold crown resorts so anywhere we stay we look for the gold crown!

My parents have RCI too and we're going to use a week for our honeymoon. If I had to guess, places in DR probably are resorts with an all-inclusive deal. You would pay for the exchange, $139 I think, and then you would pay a per-person per-day fee for all-inclusive. See if RCI is part of the RIU Palace, if so, book it! We were there last year, at one of the cheaper RIU's, and the Palace is beautiful!
OMG you all have been wonderful !!! I feel better only now i can decide between Hawaii or Aruba for X mas....
What do you think?
