We're working on the RD now (finally) and FMIL has asked me how many people we think are going to come. I have four BMs - two are married, one is single, one is in a relationship - do I have to invite the married ones with their husbands? FH has seven GMs - two are family members, so their spouses will be there, two are single, one is in a relationship, and the remaining two are married - invite with spouse?
Hating this part so far

Anyone who's married, engaged, or dating for a long time, I would def invite the other half.

This.
I always try to think about how I'd feel if I was invited without my husband/fiance/long term boyfriend. I'd pribably be a little insulted, espcially if I was married.

That's part of throwing the dinner. If she's going to start bithcing about how many people arte coming then she shouldn't be bothering to take care of it. It's not like you'e inviting random people, it's just the people in your wedding with their spouses and your immediate family!

I'd invite everyone who is married with their spouse and anyone who is in a serious relationship with their partner.

I personally think all BMs and GMs should be invited with their significant other or date.

Re: RD etiquette
We are definitely inviting spouses and the significant others for those in long standing relationships. If you're single, you don't get a date.

Re: RD etiquette
We're inviting people to our rehearsal dinner along with the people they're bringing to the wedding. If they RSVP'd for 1 they're getting invited solo and if they RSVP'd with a date (married or not) they're being invited with their date.

All of our BM/GMs will be invited with whoever they are bringing as a guest to the wedding.

Re: RD etiquette
DEFINITELY 10000% invite the spouses. If they are single I would not feel obligated to invite them with a date. If they are dating someone, that's your call. FH was a GM when we were together for 2 yrs and I was not invited to the RD (not that I wanted to go) but I thought it was a little tacky. I plan on inviting the BF's and GF's of our BP. But you do what you can!
