Am I the only one thinking of doing this? Is it horribly tacky to not have the RD in a restaurant?
We are out of $ and I just can't justify spending $2000+ to have it at a restaurant.

we did the rehearsal and a bbq in my backyard. it was fun and relaxed. we all had a good time.

I see no problem with it. You can invite more for less, go for it. These are the people you hold nearest and dearest, they will understand. My FSIL did hers at her mom's.

not tacky.. we're having ours at FMIL's house.. i like it better that way cos i'll be able to mingle more freely with my HUGE bridal party
