RD invite wording?

If you haven't noticed, I'm working on RD invites ....

How did you word your RD invites? Did you include the Church Rehearsal time or say 'immediately following' etc? We have two couples that are invited to the RD but don't need to be at the church rehearsal so I do I explain that the dinner is immediately following the church rehearsal? THANKS!

Re: RD invite wording?

I kept it simple and said, 'Dinner to follow at Fisherman's Catch. I am guessing the actual rehearsal is no longer than an hour. I think it is fine that way. Most people will probably figure it to be about an hour after the rehearsal. FH and I were unable to go to my brother's rehearsal so we gave it about an hour for the dinner. It should be fine!!

Re: RD invite wording?

Okay... how about something like this:

First in Large print

Mr. and Mrs. XXXXXX
cordially invite you to a
Rehearsal Dinner

honoring

Sandra & James

Thursday
October xx, 2004

at XXpm

XXXXX Restaurant
XXXXXXXX, New York

Then below in smaller print

Church Rehearsal at XXpm

Our Lady of XXXXXXXXX
XXXXXXXX, New York

Or is that kind of backwards?

Re: RD invite wording?

I think the wording is good but I think I would put the rehearsal time and location first and then the dinner

Re: RD invite wording?

I like it.. but I would change to:

Mr. and Mrs. XXXXXX
cordially invite you to a
Rehearsal Dinner

honoring

Sandra & James

Thursday
October xx, 2004

Rehearsal at XXpm (time of church rehearsal)
Our Lady of XXXXXXXXX
XXXXXXXX, New York

Dinner to follow at XX Time
RESTAURANT
XXXXXXXX, New York

make sense??

Re: RD invite wording?

Yah I agree with Randella the church has to go first, it is the most important part. YOu could write Immediately following at 8:00 pm

Re: RD invite wording?

We're thinking of doing something along these lines:

Before ______ and _______
Can walk down the aisle
We must get together
For a quick wedding trial.

The Rehersal will begin
At _________ on the dot.
Where the Mr. And Mrs.
Will soon tie the knot.

Once we have practiced
We hope you will stay
We will gather for dinner
Before we part our ways.

Re: RD invite wording?

here is a link to the RD invite I made for JozieB0925. We thought the wording was really cute...

We also put 'Dinner to follow at ...'
