It is coming close to the end of the planning process and I am running low on funds so do you think it is completley inappropriate to send an evite out for the RD? I was talking to a BM and she said just rely on word of mouth, but I just do not trust that.
We are buying a house and paying for a wedding and I just cannot justify spending any more money on unnecessary things. If I were in a BP and I got an evite I would not be offended, but I am not sure how other people feel since I am normally very easy going with etiquette rules and such.
WWYD??

Re: RD Invites
I honestly wouldn't be offended to receive an e-vite to a RD. If you feel totally uncomfortable, just go to staples or party city, get some cute paper and print them up yourself.

I think a evite is perfectly fine. I'm just going to text whoever i can and call anyone who i can't text.

Re: RD Invites
My friends who got married last year did an evite and I didn't think twice about it. We'll probably end up doing the same thing.

I had a few invites that were returned to us bc of wrong address so I had to re-print some, and the f*cking thing kept on eating my envelopes!!! I was like whyyyyyy?? It only ate 3 out of the 100 i printed the first time around, now its eating every single one I had to correct?!?!? I beat the printer and I sat in the corner and cried my eyes out....so yea we are not speaking!
I ended up using some cardstock I bought and made my own envelopes. I am a little nervous to hear as to whether or not they held up in the mail...

Yea printers really s uck sometimes. Texting or evite is the way to go wayyy easier than printing and spending more $$ on paper and ink. Hopefully they held up in the mail

Re: RD Invites
we're having a pretty small RD so we're just going to tell everyone to be there the night before the wedding and we should be good to go.

Rephrase-we're going to tell everyone to BE there the night before the wedding. Not actually telling them about the RD the night before

Re: RD Invites
My cousin did evites for her RD and I thought it was absolutely acceptable. Especially if it's a low key dinner, I say go for it!

Re: RD Invites
I agree with everyone above -- an evite, email, calls or texts sounds perfectly fine to me for a RD!
That reminded me to call the hotel right now and get an updated OOT booked list just now. We're getting close to our block but she confirmed that I can add more rooms in incriments of 10 so it's not a problem. Sometimes getting married in July has real advantages.
