Re: RD question
Not at all. My parents offered to host the RD at my house. I really like that idea...everyone can be relaxed and hang out for as long as they want- there's less pressure. You're already having a formal dinner for the wedding; so something laid back is a nice change

my cousin had hers at the house and it was so much more fun. if any of us lived closer to the RH i would love to have it at home.

To be honest, I am considering this idea my self. Don't think it's tacky at all.

Re: RD question
not at all - I would do that but the house is too small to have 20 people over for a dinner...

Re: RD question
i have been looking at restaurants and the cheapest i have found comes out to over 1k because i am having like 32 people
unless someone offer beforehand to pay for it i think it is our only option

Re: RD question
Not tacky at all!!! I think it's a great idea and more comfortable... plus once dinner is over you can al still hang out instead of people feeling like they have to get up and leave the restaurant.

Not tacky at all. My best friend just did that...and it was really nice. She had a catered bbq and it was great

Re: RD question
not tacky at all....we considered doing it at FILs but its too far from the hotel and like 95% of the bridal party will be staying there the night before the wedding.

Re: RD question
Not tacky at all. We're doing a bbq at FIL's house for our RD. It's going to be catered by a local deli and bbq place, but it's still a backyard bbq. That's actually what we WANTED instead....we like the laid back atmosphere much better.

Re: RD question
I think its totally a great idea...not tacky at all!!! Great time for everyone to mingle in a calm setting....rather than a loud restaurant.
