I got a really personal gift when I was a reader for a close friend. They gave me a small teddy bear that related to an inside joke and a gift card (I think $25) to the Disney Store since I am a Disney fanatic.

How about a Barnes and Noble gift card since they're your 'reader'..or a silver gift item from exclusively weddings or things remembered. They have nice inexpensive gifts - bookmarks, compacts, picture frames, etc

I like the Barnes and Noble card idea! After a wedding where I read, I got a framed photo of me during the ceremony. I thought it was sweet!

Do readers normally attend the Rehearsal and rehearsal dinner?

I think it's important for them to attend the rehearsal b/c they need to know their 'cue' to come up to read!

When I was a reader (10 years ago) I got mac makeup which I loved!

ETA: I wasn't a reader I carried the gifts (wine and bread)!
