Ready to kill FH

i feel like i'm planning this entire wedding by myself - getting him to do anything for this wedding is like pulling teeth. why is it such a big deal for him to take care of anything without me having to nag him about it? i hate being a nag, but i can't stop - our wedding is in 2 weeks and i can't keep doing it all by myself!!!!
ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

sorry, i just had to vent, before i THROTTLE HIM, and at least you guys might understand - everyone else will just think i'm 'nervous'.

I totaly agree, I ask FH the other day to call teh jewelar and find out where to send the check to pay off our balance for wedding bands.
he calls me at wrk after he is hoem already two days after I originally asked to call..'wasnt there something I was supposed to do?'..'Oh yeah, the rings, what the name of the jeweler? where is? what the number? whom do i speak to?'
With all the time it took for me to answer his questions I could of called myself, but i didnt give in. He called

Re: Ready to kill FH

honestly, I think most FH's are like this!

You have to remember, this is the day you have been dreaming about since you were little. My DH decided on things like what we were eating, where we were having the wedding at. All the little stuff he didn't care about...

All they care about is that you are walking down that aisle to say I DO

My FH loves to help out with the wedding. He is just a helpful person in general.

A woman after my own heart (and my own FH throat). They are useless for the most part.

men dont see the importance of getting all hyped up for wedding things. My fh has been working on his invite list for 2 months now. Its like COME ON ALREADY!

I can chime in on this one - no!!! lol
I've been trying for 2 months to get DH to help pick out a thank you picture! We also have to give the video guy our honeymoon pics and song choices so we can finally get our video.
He has opinions on everything, but it's so hard to get him to sit down and actually make a decision!

that's exactly what I was going to say....

weddings are a chick thing.... almost all of us are doing 95% of the planning.... so you have comrads on LIW. I wouldn't be upset with him... just make sure he's not lazy when it comes to the dishes and house cleaning, and you're in a goldedn situation

Re: Ready to kill FH

I can so relate. It was actually easier for me to do the stuff than nag him about doing it. The night before the wedding at 11:30 I was ready to go to bed and I just decided to double check on appt times. In the notebook I found the list of songs that we wanted the band to play for our entrnace bp entrance first dance dance with parents and fun songs for the reception. He never gave it to the band even though he told me he did So when I should be relaxing I am standing at the computer downloading and burning a cd of songs in case the band couldn't play them. It was okay in the except they couldn't play Jesse's Girl

If you want something done right do it yourself.

I feel for ya!! I can't even get FH to pick a day when we can go for our epics which is included in our photo pkg and any time I ask him what he thinks about this or that he tells me isn't that what the girls are for? Or I get the infamous >>>It's YOUR wedding<<<< and I'm like no OURS ahhhhhhh men!

HA Are we marrying the same person! I literally have to nag my FH just to go look at Tuxes and the rings. Not to mention making time for the menus.

I told him that we had to go in for a tasting and he said to me 'Why do we have to go in for a tasting we already know what we want to eat on the menu'
