I absolutly hate my job, I'm sitting here getting all teary eyed I've been here 9 months and it just keeps getting worse. My boss plays his favorites and its so odvious. He approached me today asking why I need the Thur & Friday before my wedding off, he finds 'no need for it.'

He's such a rude, obnoxious human...he treats his wife like garbage..it's horrible. He is always telling me that marriage life isnt what its made out to be. Then had the nerve to say 'I can't wait for your wedding to be over b/c your not 100% focused.'

I'm trying to hold off as long as I could, my FI told me to leave that I dont need to take this but i'm scared to quit 6 weeks before the wedding. I was thinking of leaving the middle of Aug, but i'm so nervous What would you girls do?? He already told me I'm not getting 2 weeks paid vacation (for my HM) b/c we only get 10 days and I used 5 of them already. I dont even care about him paying me, i'm just so miserable here I feel like walking out.

I'm so sorry that you are going through this, and your FI is 100% right. You don't need to take that. Your boss should learn to keep his INAPPROPRIATE comments to himself and if I were you, I'd tell him in a nice way, I don't appreciate your negativity with regards to my wedding which is my personal business. If there is a problem with the way I am doing my job, or otherwise, maybe we can sit down and discuss whatever issues there are, but I don't feel or think it's necessary to use my wedding as an excuse for my not being focused. Also if there is someone that you can report him to...I say DO IT!!!

HOW DARE HIM!!!!

OMG Kristin.. You sound like me .

What a heartless inconsiderate ba$tard

You have options:

I would leave your job and then go through an agency to do some temp work until after your honeymoon when you are ready to work full-time. I would do this if you absolutely NEED an income.

Or you can milk your job until after the wedding.. then leave.

If money is not an issue.. Just leave. Wait to the honeymon is over then start looking. Dont be miserable because of miserable people. Remember... YOU ARE whom you closely associate with. Surround yourself with wolves, you become one. You dont need the added stress.

IMO, if you can afford it - RUN don't walk out the door IMMEDIATELY!! There is no reason you should be crying six weeks before your wedding. Tell the jerk to shove it, and just go.

Re: Ready to scream

i totally feel your pain. I've been in a terrible situation for two years and I'm absolutely miserable. Unfortunately, I am not in a financial position with my wedding still 4 months away to quit. I am doing my best to stick it out to the wedding...but if finances are not an issue get out of there!!!! You deserve so much better.

before i got to this post, my advice was:

just leave. you will be a little anxious the day after or so once the shock sets in, but you'll be so relieved you won't care! I've done this and it's always worked out. Sometimes, your sanity is worth more than sensibility (as in having the next job all lined up).
