so, i got to thinking, how many of you would apply to be on a reality wedding show?
like, four weddings, my fair wedding, etc. t
a lot of them cast/film in the ny area, so i'm wondering if a future bride on here may wind up on some shows!!

I couldn't do it. I wouldn't like being on camera. FH and I are both very shy and it just wouldn't be for us.

Re: reality shows
I'd love to have free stuff!!!!!! However, I'm not girly enough....I hardly ever wear makeup-- i barely own any. I couldn't imagine dressing for the cameras and having to actually think about what I'd say.
I.E. if David Tutera came, he'd be like talking about this and that and I'd prob respond, 'huh??'

I'd totally be on one of those reality shows but i couldn't see myself on a show like Bridalplasty. David can knock on my door anytime.

Re: reality shows
Love watching them, but don't think I want to be on one. For some shows I wonder if you get anything out of it. Like Rich Bride, Poor Bride what do you get for being on that show. Obviously the couple is still paying for the wedding so does the show pay for when they go over budget?

Re: reality shows
I'd be totally ok with cameras etc so that wouldnt be an issue. I would love a free honeymoon from Four Weddings, but I just don't have the time next year, it would be too stressful going to strangers wedding when I should be finsihing planning my own! Besides we already have 6 weddings to attend next year beside our own, that's enough!!
I *love* David Tutera and his work has definitely inspired my vision for my wedding. But I would like to think my ideas, style, taste and theme are chique and sophisticated enough that he wouldn't have to step in!! Expect that he could just do even better with a bigger budget. I would like to meet him though.
Wouldn't consider any other show, but in reality don't think I'd ever sign up for one.

Re: reality shows
as a long time lurker...
there have been a ton of LIW brides on wedding shows!!
A 10' er was on My Fair Wedding, I know her name, but i'm totally drawing a blank right now... Her wedding was irish themed (maybe close to St. Patty's Day) and was at the Irish Coffee Pub.
She said she didn't have a great experience on the show... David tried to change too much, and aparently spent alot of time bashing other brides he'd worked with.
Sandra and Tammi form My Big Friggen Wedding were goth LIWers. Sandra had a hard time with the editing of the show and the way they portrayed her husband caused some people to say not nice things about them on blogs.
And a 2011 bride (I think Audio...something is her sn) was chosen to be on 4 weddings, but her hall wouldn't let her do it!
I think in some cases it could be alot of fun to be on one of these shows (obviously I love to watch them!!! ) but judging from these girls' experiences I don't think it would be worth the trouble!

WOW. I never really thought about behind the scenes!!! Thanks for sharing.... Knowing this stuff, now I don't think I would want to be on those shows.
