Really annoyed...
This is a vent...a long one so sorry everyone....but I have to do it...Yesterday was my friend's bach. party. We went to the city to see Tony and Tina's Italian Wedding. First of all the play was horrible. I can't believe that I spent 90 dollars to see that garbage. They pack you into a basement where Tony & Tina get 'married' and then you have to walk yourselves down the block to the 'reception'. Well, this is where you're packed into your seats like sardines. THEN you have to get up and get your dinner all buffet style. The dinner was pasta, pasta and salad. Definately worth 90 bucks
. Now, I can't stand any of my friend's girlfriends. They are all snobs who flash their extra large diamond rings around and don't make any attempt to say hello. Since we had 14 girls we needed two tables. Well, I just happened to be at the other table...shoved in the corner. It's a good thing I brought my friend along, because she's the only one who I talked to the whole night. During the course of the night, my friend (the bachelorette) asked me if I wanted something to drink. Being that I'm pregnant, I ask for water. She comes back holding beers for all her friends and guess what? NO water for Stefanie!! Another one of her friends goes around asking who wants drinks...she totally passes me by!!! What, the pregnant woman doesn't get thirsty??
If you're still reading this, here's the rest of the story...
I tell my friend that I'm leaving and I get a nasty look from her. I kiss her goodbye and leave. My friend and I walk back to the parking garage, where we parked our car for 3 hours and wouldn't you know it...44 dollars!!!
The whole night cost me 120 dollars. What a waste.Needless to say, I'm done with bach. parties in the city! If I get ANY attitude from her on the phone in the next couple of days...she's going to hear it from me!!

Re: Really annoyed...
I would be pi$sed too!! There is no excuse for you being completely disregarded and shoved into a corner b/c you are pg.Not much anyone can say about the costs -- although I am surprised about the parking costs. Most garages we have used in the city have discounted weekend rates. $44 is an insane amount to charge.

Re: Really annoyed...
I'm so sorry to hear that! I can just imagine what it will be like for me to go to AC with the rest of the BMs in my friends SP- we are VERY different and don't know eachother.)It stinks when you are in a situation like that- good thing you had your friend with you- if she gives you an attitude, that is just too bad for her!

Re: Really annoyed...
To me, it sounds like that SUCKED...but, take it from someone who had EVERYONE cancel the weeked before her bachelorette party...you did the RIGHT thing by going! (my bach party turned into a weekend in AC with my best friend)
But, on the flip side, the bach party is about doing what the brides wants to do and kind of taking care of the bride. Yes, she should have brought your water, but try not to get too upset with her...

Re: Really annoyed...
Welcome to the cost of parking in the theatre district in Manhattan. I am not surprised at the cost.

Re: Really annoyed...
I'm sorry
I'm so over the going out all night bachelorette party. I hope my friends either want to do seomthing during the day or go to the spa or something. I've become such a homebody in my old age.

I agree. Sorry you got treated so poorly, but it's really what the bride wants to do. Try not to get to mad at her...sounds like her friends are jerks, not her.
