Really annoyed right now - UPDATED

Ok so to make a long story short, we took our epics on 7/27. The photographer that day said it would take about 2 weeks to get them. Fast forward to today, we still haven't gotten a call. I just got off the phone with them and they basically have no idea where my pictures are. The girl asked me my photographer's name, I said I didn't remember and her response was 'well then we have no way of looking it up.' I said 'you can't look it up by my wedding date?' 'No, it wouldn't be in your file.' HOW IS IT NOT IN MY FILE?!?! Then she had me on hold for about 5 minutes while she looked and then she said 'umm let me take you information and I'll call you back.' W T F??? If they can't handle 2 pictures and a sign in board, how are they going to handle pictures for a wedding?!?! I'm so angry right now and if I don't get a straight answer by Monday, I'm speaking to owner. Why should I pay them A LOT of money if I have to be worried about my pictures?

UPDATE: So I called the studio and the owner is away because he does a lot of seminars and teaching so I spoke to the manager. I explained the whole situation to him and how rude the girl was to me on Friday. He was really nice and just said that something must have been mis-filed because this doesn't happen. And contrary to what the girl told me on Friday, it doesn't matter who the photog was! That has nothing to do with looking up the session. He was able to look up the session in a second! So he told me to just tell him which pictures in what size again and he'll have them done for me ASAP. I told him that this made me feel really uneasy for the wedding pictures and he told me not to worry and again, this doesn't happen it was just a mistake. He also saw that no photographer was assigned to us yet either (another thing that was supposed to be done already) so he assigned the one that we requested. I feel a lot better that he actually knew what he was doing and was able to help me right away. That girl on Friday was useless.

i would see what happens when she calls back...maybe the receptionist is just new or something. If you don't get a straight answer then I would def ask to speak with someone else.

I'm giving the girl time to call me back. If I don't get a call or a straight answer by the end of the day then I'm going to call the owner on Monday. It's not even the fact of having the pictures, it's the fact that no one knows whats going on with them. And the fact that she supposedly had no way of knowing which photog took the pictures. How is that possible?

EEEK, I agree though. It's possible the girl didn't know what she was doing. I hope it works out, but I would definitely speak to the owner and tell them your concern for the wedding day as well.

When you call, if they are still useless, ask them how many photogs they have. Then ask who worked on 7/27? When you hear the names, describe your guy, physically, hopefully they can tell u something that way. If you forgot what he looks like, they should still have a record of their jobs!

Where is your contract? Is there a name on it?

I actually gave her a description of what he looked like and she was silent on the phone. No response. And that's what pissed me off the most is that she said there's no way to find out who worked that day. WHAT? How do you not know which of your employees worked on a specific day?? I'll update you girls on Monday and let you know how it turns out. I'm really disappointed and angry because it's a vendor that I've gotten a lot of good feedback on and many girls on here use them.

ETA: oh and my contract is home and I'm at work right now so I can't even check it out.

Good! Hopefully she gets reprimanded for her stupidity! There's no excuse for her attitude.

wow!!!!! im glad everything worked out, dealing with annoying snotty people is seriously frustrating, seriously hope he at least told her to calm herself next time

on the rbight side at least you got the photographer you wanted!!
