Okay, my invites will be coming soon so I need to buy stamps.... problem is I dont know what I need.
I am using T e s sa's invites...pocketfolds.
I keep hearing that a lot of ladies used forever stamps...
Did you use those on your wedding invitations or just the response envelopes?
Also how much are those stamps each worth?
How much does it cost to send out one pocketfold T e s sa invite?
Also, are there 'forever stamps' that has some sort of wedding thingy on the stamp? lol
Sorry so many questions...Im so confused.... sorry but I am lost lol

Re: REALLY CONFUSED... Postage?
Your pocket folds are probably going to require extra postage. The forever stamps are only good for mailing a standard letter so you will be able to use them for the response cards. I do not think the forever stamps come in a wedding design. They are usually a flag or a bell.

Re: REALLY CONFUSED... Postage?
my friend had pocketfolds from tessa and they cost her $1 to mail. The forever stamps are only good for regular mail, and its a pic of a bell - but if you get them now, you can save $ before the postage goes up for the rsvp's

So, if I buy the forever stamps right now.... they'll still be good even when the price of stamps go up again? Do you know when they go up?

Re: REALLY CONFUSED... Postage?
A forever stamp can be purchased for the price of postage THAT day. So if monday the stamp cost .49 and tuesday the price of a stamp goies up to .52 to can use the forever stamps.
They are good forever.
As of right now they dont have any other stamps for forever except the liberty bell.
Go to the post office with the complete invitation. They will weigh it and tell you how much it cost to mail.

Re: REALLY CONFUSED... Postage?
Depending on what you want to do - my pocketfolds where .79 an invite, I ended up doing two .42 heart stamps because they looked prettier. I used the forever stamps for the response cards. Postage goes up on May 11. If you use forever stamps for your invites, get them now, some post offices are running out and don't forget to get them for you thank you's too, i just bought them today.

Re: REALLY CONFUSED... Postage?
Is this the correct forever stamp postage I should buy for my response envelopes?
Sorry, I just want to make sure... and I'll buy them tonight so that I have them.
But for the invites, are you guys just buying any stamp or are you guys buying nice wedding stamps or the ones with the heart on them?

Re: REALLY CONFUSED... Postage?
Okay since I am very new at this forever stamp business lol
Can someone explain this to me.... If you can just buy forever stamps in bulk and use them even when prices go up... then what is the point of buy Regular stamps? I now have about 30 stamps that are 42 cents. What the hell am I supposed to do with that now?
Why shouldnt we just all buy forever stamps and beat the system? lol

Re: REALLY CONFUSED... Postage?
We took our invitation sample with all the inserts and everything and brought it to the Hicksville post office. They weighed it and told us how much postage we needed. It was .59 cents.
Then we ordered custom stamps from Zazzle.com with our dog Abby, and it ended up being $1 per stamp for a .59 cent custom stamp.
Ps-we used Forever stamps for the responses

Re: REALLY CONFUSED... Postage?
Stamps dont expire, you just have to buy penny stamps to make up the difference between the 42 and the 44. In other words, you put your 42 cent stamp on the envelope and put 2 penny stamps on to make it 44.

Re: REALLY CONFUSED... Postage?
You really need to weigh an invite when it's all done and then see how much it costs b/c it may not be worth it to put two or three forever stamps on it if it's a matter of a few cents or something . .all weights of paper and such are different. . .

Re: REALLY CONFUSED... Postage?
I used forever stamps for both the RSVP and for the envelope themselves. The invite cost me .83 so 2 forever stamps covered it. The value of the forever stamp will go up to whatever the current value of the stamp is.

Re: REALLY CONFUSED... Postage?
also, something else to keep in mind... my sister had pocketfolds and they weren't 'bendable' so they were considered a parcel. just make sure you go to the actual post office and get the right price.
