i had pocket folds with three inserts and a layered card in a rectangular shape it i took a fully assembled one down to the post office and had them weigh it and then i knew exactly what i needed. mine happened to be a 59 cent stamp and this was a pretty one with a heart. i used forever stamps for the response cards. but i'd suggest taking a fully assembled invite down to get it weighed. so you'll know for sure. :o) they can help you figure out a nice stamp... mine didn't have one with a heart and they recommended i go to the next town and get the heart one. so once you know the amount, call around and see if they have any wedding-type stamps too! that's what i did and it worked out great! ;o) GL!

Ladies, thank you so much for all of your help. I ordered 200 forever stamps- 100 for the response envelopes and 100 for the thank yous. I was going to order other stamps, but I'll just wait until I get my T e ssa invites and see how much they actually do cost and then buy stamps. Thank you!!

Wait till they come, take one and bring it to SEVERAL post offices and see what they tell you it will be. And get the highest price. You don't want it to show up with postage due, which happened to my friend because different post offices may tell you it costs different amounts..

When you get to the post office, they will weigh them and tell you exactly how much it'll be. The forever stamps just have liberty bells on them, no pretty ones yet. I tried. I think you shouuld put them on both outer and inner envelopes, just to insure no extra postage later for you, or for your guests. Good luck!!

DEFINITELY bring them to a few different post offices. I brought mine to 3 and even though other girls with the same T essa shaped and sized invite had higher postage, all 3 PO's told me $1 per invite. I was nervous to send them out since others were told more, but luckily (aside from one random invite that got sent back for insufficient postage) they all got to their destinations ok!

I am really confused as to why everyone is going crazy with these forever stamps? Postage is only going up by 2 cents! So for every 100 invites you send out, you are saving $2. Is it really worth the stress??

I've been thinking the same thing! I was stressing too at first until I did the actual math.
I think the issue is more that people don't want to buy regular postage now, bc when the responses come back it'll have gone up the 2 cents and won't be good anymore.

I'm using the forever stamps on my RSVP's. I just bought the 100 packs from Costco, they were $41.25 each. You can still us the forever stamps on 1 oz envelopes; no extra postage needed. But for the actual invitation, you will definitely need more than 44 cents to mail them out.

Well for me, the issue is that I already have a whole roll of stamps that are 42cents... so now, when the postage goes up 2 more cents...the stamps I currently have are NO GOOD
So nowwwww I have to go to the post office and buy the one penny stamps and then put the extra postage on every envelope that goes out now...
Its not worth it to me anymore to buy regular stamps if this is what I will have to go through everytime postage goes up. I will now buy forever stamps from now on to avoid this problem.
