Really ticked off at FH

Really ticked off at FH

I do everything I can to save $ and he goes out and finances a $400 a month car which is un-needed expense right now when we have a wedding to pay for along with a house to rennovate and furnish.....to top that off he didn't respect my wishes and got it anyway. As of now, my family has helped chip in with expenses and I feel like he's taking advantage of that.

uugggg that is annoying.
It sounds like he may need a 'sitting down' to be sure you are both on the same page.
Sorry you have to deal with this...gl!

Maybe he's the secret twin of my FH. While we are primarily paying for the wedding, he comes up with suggestions of random things he 'HAS' to have. We are currently debating whether a quad for the snow is a necessary item. Really??

Ugh!!! I can soooo relate to this. FH decided a month or so ago that he NEEDED a new $40k SUV. Honestly, I am saving every single penny and really sacrificing, so this really pi$$ed me off. I had to talk to him like he was my child until he finally GOT it...Could you insist that he bring the car back?

oh no, that is inconsiderate! You need to talk to him now to make sure you guys are on the same page regarding finances. Money is the biggest cause of fights between couples. A car is a huge purchase, he definitely should've talked it over thoroughly with you.

I completely feel your pain about the house expenses!! FH and I closed our house and are still renovating...so expensive. I have to remind FH we can't buy everything now because of the wedding...he loves new and shiny things

Sometimes they just don't think...or that's what they try to have us believe. I feel super frustrated with DH about things like that too. I am sorry that you are having to deal with this

MY FH DID THE SAME THING WITH A HUGEEE TV TO PUT IN OUR APARTMENT THAT WE DIDNT EVEN HAVE YET! ... sorry for that caps that just brought back a bad memory! hahaha. I mean it wasnt 400 dollars a month, but still I am cutting every corner I can to save and thats what he does. Oh man, men are all the same!!!!!

Wow....I'm not the only one who has to play mommy about money and expenses. I had to take my FH card's away and give him an allowance. It's pretty sad. I have to admit he's getting better at saving but it is just so aggravating especially since I've been doing nothing but save. We are paying for the wedding primarily ourselves.

I know! I've started coloring my own hair! to save $ and he goes out with the guys EVERY Monday night. While I stay home and think of ways to save $ while still getting what we want for the wedding!

You need to talk to him... my FH used to do the same thing. While I'm hear saving every penny, he's investing in season tickets to sporting events and things of that nature... which really isn't that impt right now...

I expressed how I felt.... and now it's made it a little easier....

You CAN teach an old dog new tricks!

My FH is the same way. His car is $400 a month and it's an un-needed expense! And he also 'hooks up' his car with a new exhaust, rims, etc! It's like Grow up and start saving for our future. Enough with the car nonsence. We arent 18 anymore!
