reason not to listen to your mother's wedding opinions...

thought i'd share... was reminded of this, from the cry pack thread, where some girls said mothers didnt like their ideas...

around christmas time i told my mom i was going to send out save the dates.. 'she told me its a waste of money, dont bother, people know the date'....

in january i mailed them out and handed her one, she then said 'wow, these are very pretty', and that week she told me 'so many people called up complimenting the save the dates, that people though i got them proffesionally done(i actually computer printed them with fonts i picked out $15 for 50, and ran the envelopes through the printer for adressing)

My son is having an outside ceremony and reception this coming July. This will be a wonderful sunset wedding, however, when they were telling me what their plans were, I gave my concerns on weather, times, etc. 'Its what we want'. ok so mom shuts up,
NOW, they have changed their minds, still having the sunset wedding but the reception will be indoors. When I made the suggestion, it was just listened to, when her mother made the suggestion, they listened....so guess where their having their reception? INDOORS...

My point being, some moms get listened to and others just don't.

But you know the old saying 'mother always knows best'....
