We are planning to get married around Sept 2011. Haven't set the exact date yet. We will not have a big budget so I would like to get some ideas about places for about 50 ppl and not so expensive.
Unfortunately, we are living across the country so i can't go visit places anytime i want. After Xmas i will have a few days to check out a few places so help me narrow down my options.
We want something not too old fashion but nicely decorated, has good service and good food.

I had exactly 50 people at my wedding and it was perfect - we booked at Leonards, they have a small size room (Empire) all the way at the end. I never bumped into another bride and the bridal suite was only a few steps away. I def recommend checking them out, they were very affordable and we got a lot of extras thrown in!

You can try Buckley's Caterers in Brooklyn. The food is great there and they accomodate smaller parties as well.
