Reception hall follow up call...EW

EW I answered the phone before and this man was like can I speak to Danny and I said who is this nad then he was like I am looking for Danny and I said WHO IS THIS?!? Then he said it is blank from the blank and I was calling to follow up. so I told him we booked somewhere else and he asked me where so I told him then he asked me why and said tell him honestly so I did I said he was too high priced for his hall and that we went to 16 places and he was the most $$$$$$ for what he was offering so then he was like oh price was negotiable and I said I asked you if we went off season and on another day would the price change and he didnt sound flexible...then he was like tell what WM is offering you and how much etc. and I said I didnt want to discuss that info w/him and we felt he was really nice etc. and he got all snippy with me

has this happened to you girls???

I don't like when vendors ask about other vendors. I have had it a little , but not that bad.

YES...When I went to the Sandcastle , FH almost hit the guy he became so mean to me that FH got up, said' you will not talk to us like us that, grabbed my arm and said, thanks for wasting our time...and left...
He demeaned us, laughed when we mentioned some places we had been to and then point blank said, if you want the best you come to us, anything else is a joke...and which point we left...FH even called to complain to him but didnt get far...he asked us to book on the spot a room that we couldnt see, was under construction, I told him we had just started looking and would never feel comfortable booking without seeing the room..and he said 'well if your not intuitive enough to understand that the $500,000 we are putting into this room makes it better then anything you will see' maybe we should stop talikng

So FH said excuse me...could you just write your prices down for us, and he said, I cant quote you unless your booking today? I mean c'mon??

The place was beautiful but I would never book there due to this mans attitude...

Ohmigod!! I am getting married there and I dont blame you!!! If our BM hadnt been sooooooooo sweet and patient and let us negotiate like crazy I would feel the same way!!! She made us feel as if us getting married there were important to her and it actually felt like she was going out of her way to make sure this was the right place for us and we could afford it. I am so sorry you had to deal with such a jerk!! and I have a feeling I know who it is

I also have a feeling I know who it is .... but just like Soon2B, I had a wonderful experience with the BM I booked with at SC but I definitely don't blame you for not booking with someone who talks to you like that!!!

I got that kind of talk from HTH, actually....

I posted after it happened and almost everyone said they had a great BM there..so I dont hate the 'place' just hate that one person...We would have considered it because it was so great but this guy was awful!
