Reception Halls

Any ideas on reception halls under $100 a person? So far I have seen Larkfield Manor, Foxhollow, Coral House, and Floral Terrace. Out of those I like Larkfield Manor the best-any feedback? My wedding will be under 200 people, hopefully on a Saturday night. Thanks!

Milleridge is definitely not under $100 for a Sat night...

..but it is a great place. I had a Sat afternoon wedding in March and it was under $100. Sat night was definitely over that, even in the non-peak months. Good luck. There are plenty of places out there and you will find the perfect one for you.

Reception Halls

If you want to look in Suffolk County try the Smithtown Landing. I got married there on a Saturday night and it cost $62pp. It may be a bit more now but not much. That includes cake, linens, and centerpieces. Go to www.lessing.com for more info.

Is there a Thached Cottege website?

One of my friends just got engaged, and was asking me about different halls, and asked me about the Thatched Cottege. I've heard it mentioned a few times here, but I don't know anything about it. What town is it in? About how much does it cost? Thanks!

Thatched Cottage

It was one of my top three choices but it is a little out of the way and too far for me (my church is in Queens). They have two reception rooms. I like the one upstairs but you have to have a smaller wedding (less than 150). The menu was really cool...lots of different things (some a little more trendy than the average wedding food)and the place is really cute. I went to a food tasting and it was really good... I think they plate the food table side...the chef comes out and cuts the steck tableside. I never went to an affair there, but have heard positive from those that have been there.

Meadow Club.....

First, I know Thatched Cottage quoted us 110 per person for a Sta. night, that is NOT including tax/grat. My sister got married at the Meadow Club in Port. Jefferson. I highly recommend them. They have different packages, and she got the middle one, I think it was $64pp. This is for a Sat. night.
