reception halls

what reception halls should I go look at? what does everyone recommend? I've been going all over the island looking as long as it's not the Hamptons or Montauk nowhere is really too far. I just don't want to miss anything.

what kinda feel are you going for? whats great about long island is we have so many halls on beaches that are just beuatuful plus we have the gold coast mansions that are also stunning. theres so many options i think it really depends on what you want in a hall

I'm not even sure really yet. so far me and my girls looked at watermill, fox hollow, and larkfield manor. I liked fox hollow I think the best. I loved the chapel in watermill though.

I loved Timperpoint. It felt very homey. But they own several halls.

If your wedding is on the smaller side (145 or less), check out Lombardi's on the Bay. They redid it and its beautiful!

I wanna go see those too. I am trying to see almost every good hall on the island :) I mean I have enough time to do that before I have to book anything.

First, I would call your top places and find out what their minimum is. I found that a lot of halls on LI have a 175-200 person minimum for Saturday nights, so that helped me decide who I was going to see since I only wanted to guarantee 150.

Re: reception halls

also, what day of the week are you looking for? day/evening? We may be able to help you narrow it down price wise! I know at a lot of places, Saturday night weddings are $$$$ but other days might be better!

Re: reception halls

check out sandcastle!!!! i looked at over 20 places. sandcastle was the last place we looked. they are doing so many renovations and its just gorgeous. great food and service

and while it may seem a bit pricey, you really do get A LOT for your money (like a pianist during cocktail hour, martini bar, raw bar....even a honeymoon in greece!! its all included)

their sister site is floral terrace, so i would check them out too!
