Reception Halls for a small budget

Original post by kshea23

Anybody know of any reception halls that are around or under $60 a person? And has anybody been to, or had a reception bbq instead of at a hall?

My fh and I decided to take our bridal party to Vegas for 4 days and we're going to get married over there. When we come back, we're going to have a reception for all of the guests who couldn't make it out to vegas. Since my FH and I are paying for everything ourselves, we are trying to keep it under $10,000 {everything included}. My parent's suggested having a reception in their backyard. While they do have the means to hold around 100 people and have space for a DJ, caterers, dance floor, and a bar I think it's sort of tacky for a wedding reception. Plus, the whole parking situation. Having around 50 or so cars on my block isn't going to work.... any ideas???

Gennaro's in Brooklyn
Brentwood CC
Med Manor
Douglaston Manor
Swan Club
Leonard's
Coral House
All can be prices around that. The top half offer packages.

Of course keep in mind if you have it during the week, SaturDAY or SunDAY the price drops. It also drops if you plan it bt. Nov - Feb.

Stuart Thomas Manor in Farmingdale might be in that range.

You could also consider an American Legion or K of C hall - - Oceanside and Seaford are supposed to be nice. and should be less than 60 also.

The seaford K or C is nice. Looks like a regular hall!!

the lessings ( not the big mansions) the smaller ones off season could be much cheaper and fridays and sundays would be much cheaper too.
