Reception Halls visited.

Okay, so I went to my food tasting today at Leonards, and I must say, I'm not a big fan of their food. FH hated it, besides they weren't paying any attention to us, we had to constantly ask could we get something to drink, or have some napkins. Leonards I can say is off my list.

Now here is the hard part. I visited Beckwithe Point today and I must say after narrowing down from a couple places which included Chateau La Mer, Majestic Gardens, The Sandcastle, Leonards, Woodbury Country Club, Westbury, Floral Terrance, Terrance on the Park, Hilton of LI, VIP and Greentree, Im down to two.

Surf Club and Beckwithe Point. Any assistance would help with making my decision. I think Beckwithe is cheaper than Surf not sure.

Hey!

I have not been to alot of those places.. But i did go to the sand castle and chateau le mer.

The Sand Castle had a great Viennese Hour..complete with fondue..cotton candy etc

Both places had good food if I remember correctly..

In my opinion I liked Chateau Le Mer better-but thats bc Im biased to water..(my wedding is at Bridgeview)

Good Luck!

I've gone to most of the RHs you were looking at...and I almost booked with Surf Club, however, when I asked them to lower the price they cut out a GOOD chunk of the menu and I really wasn't happy about that.

I went to Leonards too, and pretty much had the same experience that you did.

I thought Jericho Terrace was going ot be way out of my range, but I wanted to take a look anyhow. So I stopped by on my way home from looking at other places, and they were AMAZING..I left there and couldn't stop thinking about how nice they were and how accomadating they were. When we asked them to lower thier price, they did..and I was thinking 'here comes the part where they rip apart the menu' and he said..no way..the menu stays the same!! I'm really impressed with them and I am soo happy I decieded to stop there..if you have some time, I'd give them a shot!

Re: Reception Halls visited.

hey surf club bride here!!!!!

my vote obv goes to surf club!!! we had a tasting there before we booked (b/c we weren't sure of the food) and it was soooooooooooooooooooo good!!! my family is very particular about food and for them to like it is a good sign.. plus the chef even came in to talk to us! he was very friendly so i think thats a plus!

also, i dont know if you know.. but they are doing renovations from dec-march to make the place look even more beutiful then it is (double staircase in the lobby, fountain outside, and all the colors walls and floors will be changed to a more neutral color) i saw the pics and its gonna look amazing!

FM me if you have any specific questions!!
