Reception Idea...Fun

Re: Reception Idea...Fun

Great idea! Even if it doesn't all get put together perfectly it should still be fun. I found a site that lets you chose how many pieces you want (so you can get it close to the number of guests) and they also have heart shaped puzzles.

If you have a few extra pieces you could pick a few close together as a starting point. I would also suggest keeping a copy of the photo on the table so people can see what it should look like!

ETA the link!

Re: Reception Idea...Fun

Thanks EVERYONE for their input. Right now every little bit helps. :)
Everyone close to me thinks it's a great idea, but I don't know if they are just being nice... seems to be no matter what I say or do that are all like, YES YES YES>.. I want the TRUTH! lol. So thank you to ALL!
Well, The pieces won't be tiny... they'll be like the same size as a young childrens puzzle. I'm having about 250 guests in total, so I'll prolly end up getting 110 piece puzzle. I will make all the bridal party start it off so at least it starts to make it easier. My one friend had the idea of giving them out in some type of order that the pieces all go next to eachother, then to give them out by tables... then we can like call one table up at a time throughout the night so it's not over-crowded.
It sounds like alot of kids, but I'm also including the teens since they will be with the kids...babysitting. LOL. ACTUAL kids under the age of 11 is more like 23... sorry for the confusion. lol. I tend to over-exaggerate when I don't even realize it. LOL Just in my bridal party alone I have 7 kids in total. Both my sisters have 2 daughters, one has 2 sons as well... and my soon to be sis-in-law also has 2 daughter. We looove being around kids...and want to include them as MUCH as possible! I was the flower girl in my sisters wedding, and she did so much extra for me that I will never forget it. I want to create the same expirence for all the special kiddies in my life now....
I will take it home after the night is done. Once 'real life' comes back to play, I will glue them all together. So what if there's a piece missing.. it'll leave a memory stil. My other friend had the idea of numbering them. Like, each piece has a number behind it, and then it will go with that specific person ... I'll keep the list on my laptop. So, then if there ARE peice missing, I can still track down WHO forgot about it. lol
My Mother already got us a 'wishing well' ... its a glass vase - one side is 'Advise for the Newlyweds, and the other side is 'Best Wishes'. There is a little card that explains it and after the wedding we'll read them all and place them in a book that came with it. :)
That is a good idea to do it at the bridal shower instead...but I want to include the kids... So, I don't think they'll be coming to the bridal shower. Do kids usually go to them? I havn't even seen them before...
Thank you again for ALL of your help. If anyone has anythign else, please let me know. It's GREATLY appreciated. :)
