Reception location with Grounds

Does anyone know of any locations that have grounds besides Swan Club, or Westbury Manor? My wedding is in March and I would like to have a location where in the event we have great weather, our guests can step outside and enjoy the scenery. Thank You

Flowerfield in St. James

Flowerfield is in Suffolk county -- in St.James -- right next to Smithtown. You can check out their site at www.flowerfield.com. I am not sure what their prices are this year -- It ranges depending on what day ... I delt with Florinda and Cynthia -- they are great !

Flowerfield in St. James

I just checked out their site and it looks beautiful! I just don't know if this is within my budget. I looked at a Long Island Weddings mag and its pretty pricey for me :-( Is there a site fee?

re: cw0904

There is no site fee that I know of . The nice thing about them is that they include everything in the price -- You dont pay extra for the little things like cordials, valet etc... When we looked at other places and added all of the extras up -- Flowerfield was not that much more.. Id be happy to answer any questions you may have-- If you want my email let me know!

I inquired with Cynthia the coordinator and she sent me via e-mail a Word template of their services. The price is really too much for me, but I LOVE Flowerfield and have not even been to see it yet! I wanted to stay under a $100 per person but their minimum is $145. Do reception locations give a break on booking so far in advance besides giving you this year's rates?

Flowerfield costs

I had my reception at Flowerfield, and these were some of the ways we were able to keep the costs down... The higher your guaranteed number of guests, the lower they will go with the price If you pay in cash they will waive some fees If you book extras, they begin to throw things in at a significantly lower price. Good luck! : )

Thank You JennRenee

I noticed they have a HUGE array of food options. If I choose some of the basics do you think they would lower the price a bit then? Could I even negotiate this with most places?

Thank You JennRenee

CW0904, I'm not sure what you meant by choosing the basic foods. If you mean going with just the foods that are offered in their per person price, then no, they probably won't lower the price. After doing business with many locations, I found that Flowerfield had fewer bargaining points than most. The 2 places that we felt were most willing to negotiate price were the Port Jeff Country Club, and Majestic Gardens. Unfortunately for my bank account, I already had my heart set on Flowerfield, so I went with it, even though the other places gave better deals. : )
