Reception locations in Queens/W. Nassau

Hi everyone, We've been engaged for a few months-and now it's time to start planning!! Does anyone have any recommendations for reception/catering halls in Queens or western Nassau county? We will be married at our church in Queens, and don't want to have everyone trek waaay out to Suffolk for a reception. We are going to go check out the Westbury Manor this weekend. Any other suggestions? Would love to be near the water-somewhere with a nice view. We're planning to have about 150-180 people, fall of '02. Thanks so much!! Good luck and congrats!!!

It's not near the water, but we were very happy with our reception at Leonard's of Great Neck. We ended up having the entire top floor for our cocktail, reception and bridal suite and you would have thought we were the only event there. Food and service were great.

You could try Jericho Terrace or Floral Terrace, although I've never personally been to either. My brother has been to Jericho Terrace and says it's very nice. For locations with waterview, try San Souci in Sea Cliff, Sail Harbor in Bayville and Cresent Beach Club. Also, Nassau Country Club is beautiful. Swan Club is partially waterview. Caffe on the Green

It`s located in Bayside right near the Clearview Golf Course, near the Throgs Neck Bridge. My friend got married there and the food was outstanding!

One of the best weddings I ever attended was at Floral Terrace. Food and Service were outstanding, the decor is not typical - something you have to see for yourself.

We are getting married at Westbury Manor

So, I am biased to say go there (see Susan when you go - tell her I sent you). But John Anthony's is on the water - if you wanted a waterview, besides the other places these lovely ladies have mentioned.

I am having my reception at the Sans Souci in Sea Cliff, kind of near Glen Cove, which is north Nassau County. It is located across the street from Hempstead Harbor, and because you are on an elevated level while inside, when you look out the windows, all you can see is the water view. It's real pretty. We are very happy. They have a web site if you want to know more- www.sanssoucicaterers.com They do one wedding at a time, but since it is a house, they don't accommodate more than 175 people because of it's size.
