Reception Response Help
Ok girls...here's my dilemaOn the grooms side - His cousin was invited to the engagement party - 4 invited, 4 rsvp, 1 arrived. Bridal Shower 2 invited, 2 rsvp, 0 arrived. Now the wedding invitation went out 3 invited, 4 rsvp'd her, her husband, their 19 year old son and his GF (that no one knows) He has been dating her for a while but he's a rude kid and so we've met her 1 in a year - ps they live quite close.
So now what?? Do i suck it up and add 4 to the seating chart? Or do I call her and say I've only invited 3?
What I really want to do is say I invited 3, but of course she is welcome - IF you all really plan on coming! But I know that's rude. But man I'm out close to $500 bucks already on plates from previous parties....I'd hate to do this again at the wedding when it's more per plate.
I get that I should expect people not to show that day - but she has shown a pattern of disregard.
What do you think I should say to handle - if anything?

That would make me so angry!!!!! I would call them up and say she's not invited...you have no obligation to be courteous to them after the way they've acted!!! And I would have FH confirm with them that they really are coming a couple days before the wedding.

I'd call and say, 'sorry, we only have 3 places available for you. Please let me know if this means you won't be able to make it at all'. Have FH call them the day before to see if they are coming. Then be sure to have backup invites who understand if you won't know until the last minute OR use the seat filler thread on here and have some of the LIW girls come.

At this point you need to be direct and blunt. They have taken advantage of you and you can not let it continue. FH needs to open his mouth and take care of the situation.
