Reception site

Reception site

I just got engaged 2 weeks ago I am very excited, but I am having so much trouble finding an affordable reception site, not too far away that I love. I live in Whitestone, Queens, so some of the places that really caught my eye (Giorgios, flowerfields, East Wind) are too far....Any suggestions because I'm getting really frustrated and this is suppose to be such a happy time for us. I'm going to look at the following places over the weekend.
Larkfield manor
Lakeview Country club
Chateau La mer
Bridgeview yachy club
Sail harbor

Feel free to post all comments, criticisms and suggestions.
Thanks

Congrats on your engagement! I'm getting married at Crest Hollow Country Club. It's not too far from you, you should check it out.

Re: Reception site

Congrats and welcome to the boards! I did not look at any of those places except for the Bridgeview. It was very beautiful there. Sorry I'm not much help. You may want to check out Chateau Briand. A lot of girls are getting married there. Also try Westbury Manor. I'm getting married at the Meadow Club which is all the way out in Port Jeff Station. Probably too far for you.

Check out the North Ritz club, it is on Jericho Turnpike in Syosset, very easy to get to.

Re: Reception site

whats your definition of affordable? If we know that, we can make some recommendations in that price range.

I ask because uou mentioned Flowerfield which a lot pricier than the other places you're looking.

Re: Reception site

I looked at both the north ritz club 125.00 (plus tax and gratuity) and also watermill which was around 110.00 (plus tax and gratuity). Watermill is also kind of far from whitestone. i decided on the Swan Club beautiful and affordable. Check them out they are in roslyn www.swanclub.com
Congrats Welcome good luck and HAVE FUN PLANING!!!!!

Re: Reception site

Try the Floral Terrace in Floral Park. It's right off the Cross Island Parkway. I believe it's one wedding at a time and the food is good.

I am getting married at the Riviera in Massapequa its very unique and its one wedding at a time. Its not for everyone it doesnt look like you typical LI hall. Its all dark wood, on the water and family owned and run. Very nice.
I live in Bayside right near you did you try Caffe on the Green?
Good Luck

I also live in Queens and chose the Sandcastle which is beautiful and affordable. It is 20 minutes away from where I live. FM me for more details...Their website is www.sandcastlecaterers.com
Same owners as Floral Terrace.

Welcome!

Welcome!! Congratulations!

I also recommend taking a look at Leonard's they are very close to Queens. I'm getting married there and their prices are very competitive.
